The Matrix Analogy

The movie the matrix is a movie I would recommend to anyone who wants to understand the full extent of how we are deceived by satan to accept a false worldview.Though the writers of this script might not have had Christianity in mind when writing the script there are lots of things we can learn from the movie.

The Matrix:
The Movie the matrix speaks of a future in which reality perceived by humans is actually the Matrix, a simulated reality created by sentient machines in order to pacify and subdue the human population while their bodies' heat and electrical activity are used as an energy source.This is infact similar to the world we live in today.A world of false reality a world of sin,A world of materialism and self indulgence that keeps us from seeing the truth that our souls need God,A world that makes us forget that Eden and not Babylon is our true home.
I also want You to note that the matrix is a simulated reality.In other words its a system that makes people see things based on a false idealogy.Satan told eve in genesis that her "eyes would be opened" if she ate from the tree.The bible says her eyes were opened(her carnal understanding was opened)What eve failed to realize was that she was blinded from seeing by a divine understanding with this fake light of satan(2 cor4:4)Also Jesus says in John9:39-41 :" And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth."You see from the above verses that those who think they see by their understanding are actually blind just like Adam and Eve who immediately they ate the forbidden fruit "saw" that they were naked(Became self conscious instead of God conscious)They were actually "seeing" a simulated reality.The truth is that Before the fall ,Adam and Eve were actually covered by Gods glory (all they could see was the God view of the world and not the self view)thats why they didnt realise they were naked.

Neo: Wake up Neo..What? The matrix has You

Neo Anderson a computer Hacker receives a message on is computer from Morpheus(the god of dreams)He tells him to wake up.Neo did not realize he that the matrix had him.He was sleeping to his true nature unaware of the fact that this evil system had control over him.Morpheus(in greek mythology morpheus is the god of dreams)wakes him up.( the same way the church is sounding a wake up call to sleeping souls who see this world as their home and who are slaves of this simulated reality.)


Morpheus: I know exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something.

What you know you can't explain. But you feel it. You've felt it your entire life. That there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is but it's there, like a splinter in your mind driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?

Neo: The Matrix?

From the above conversation we see that Morpheus tells Neo that he(neo) is there (with him)because he knew that there was something wrong with the world and that it was because neo knew this fact that he was brought to him.In the same way Only Christians who truly realize that the system they live in is a satanic one will listen to the wake up call sounded to them.John 8:47 says
"He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."
Only the people of God listen to his wake up call.Others who are blinded by the system ignore it.Also John 6:37 says "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."Jesus is saying here that all that his father gives him shall come to him.What makes them come towards him?The truth:that the world is ruled by the devil and that they need to be saved from it and that this salvation comes from Jesus.

You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Neo: What truth?

Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage, born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind.... Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this there is no turning back. You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes... Remember, all I'm offering is the truth, nothing more... Follow me... Apoc, are we online?

The matrix is everywhere morpheus says.The whole world system is the matrix.According to him "It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to keep You from seeing the truth" .The same way a false world reality has been pulled over our eyes,A world that makes us cater for self and forget about God.Unless we wake up and realize this fact we will be enslaved, we will fail to realize that we are slaves to this wicked system. He calls it a prison of the mind because from the day we were born our minds have been shapen by society and the worlds educational systems to accept this world as being ideal.So we spend all our lives trying to live the "perfect"life here and because of this We are "enslaved"to the mindset of self seeking and ignorant of the World God has to offer
He presents two pills to neo to choose the blue and red pill the blue one makes him believe whatever he wants to believe and the red shows him the truth.The same choice we have today we either choose the tree of knowledge of good and evil which will keep us much the same and make us to believe this false worldview or choose the tree of life which would lead us to lots of self sacrifice but will eventually show us the truth that we don't belong here that we need God and by partaking of this tree we partake in Gods eternal life.

Cypher (who is set to betray all of his friends) says when he is talking to Agent Smith: "You know, I know this steak doesn't exist. I know the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious. After nine years, you know what I realize? Ignorance is bliss."

Agent Smith;Then we have a deal?
Cypher:I dont want to remember nothing Nothing!You understand i want to be rich.Someone important.Like an actor You can do that right
Agent Smith:Whatever You want Mr.Reagan
Here You see that cypher(one of the rebels of the matrix released by morpheus)Chooses to betray his friends(Like judas betrayed Jesus)For temporal gratification.As we can see above He makes the statement "I know the Matrix is telling my brain that it(steak) is juicy and delicious."in the same way the world seems to be so desirable,pleasurable and like a paradise to us because that's what the devil has told Us.The earlier We wake up to realize this fact the better for us,He also makes the statement "Ignorance is bliss."The same way some Christians would rather stay ignorant of reality because living a life of falsehood means little or no self denial or sacrifice.
He finally makes a deal with agent smith (an AI program in the Matrix programmed to keep order within the system by terminating troublesome programs and human avatars which would otherwise bring instability to the simulated reality, just the way the devil terminates and persecutes Christians he views as threats)who promises to give him all he wants.Remember when the devil was tempting Jesus(matt 4,luke 4)he promised giving him all the kingdoms of the world if he would worship him.Jesus refused because he valued eternal life more than than temporal gratification.If we act like cypher we would be eternally doomed.
