1st of all lets get a better description of who buddhists claim maitreya is:

Maitreya's coming is characterized by a number of physical events. The oceans are predicted to decrease in size("oceans decrease in size" means the world would become a smaller place,In other words man would develop technologies that would make maitreya have a greater outreach), allowing Maitreya to traverse them freely. The event will also allow the unveiling of the "true" dharma to the people, in turn allowing the construction of a new world. The coming also signifies the end of the middle time in which humans currently reside (characterized as a low point of human existence between the Gautama Buddha and Maitreya.)

Well, yes, of course he is, Morford answered himself. As evidence, he cited “enormously smart, wise, spiritually attuned people who’ve been intuitively blown away by Obama’s presence.” Yikes. You can’t argue with really spiritual people, can you?
“Many spiritually advanced people… identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being… who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet,” Morford wrote.
All right, already: so Barack Obama is not just some far-left putz from Chicago, but something more than human, a being on a higher plane. Not just some dork who thinks there are 57 states in the Union, but a Lightworker.
But which higher being is he? An archangel? A genie? Zeus? Hercules? The Mothman? It’s important to know these things.

2.They(Maitreya and other world teachers) are returning to the everyday world to help us solve our most critical global problems.
There are so many global problems just at the time he is about to take over the mantle of leadership: The global economic crisis and Terrorism.Also he has appointed so many "skillful hands"(world teachers,who are proponents of the nwo)to help manage the crisis
3. This time of great political, economic and social crisis Maitreya will inspire humanity to see itself as one family, and create a civilization based on sharing, economic and social justice, and global cooperation.
Obama has frequently said he represents change and is against divisions he wants America to see itself as one without biases such as black or white rich or poor gay or striaght.He was also accused by John Mccain of being a socialist because he believes the wealth should be spread instead of remaining with rich.It is also interesting to note that he made the following statement during his inauguration speech :"that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our "common humanity" shall reveal itself;"

Although Obama claims to be a xtian he is not religious he embraces all faiths and has ties to christianity,islam atheism(his dad was a muslim turned atheist) and agnoctism(his mum).Also in his inauguration speech he clearly shows he embraces all faith with this statement:".... a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus — and non-believers"He is the 1st US president to acknowledge unbelievers in an inauguration speech.
5.Global warming is now understood to a degree, but man’s responsibility for it has not yet dawned on all the national authorities. This is one of the most important realizations that we have to make – that man is responsible for at least 80 per cent of the warming up of the planet, and if this continues it will drastically affect our daily lives. Maitreya and the Masters alone have the exact knowledge of how to proceed but we already know the first steps to take (the need to restrict carbon emissions and so on)
Obama has emphasized that he is ready to tackle global warming.
6.Obama is not a religious teacher neither did he come to found a new religion.He represents change i.e a new way.He is a leader of the free world.(That is what American presidents are called)
The evidence is overwhelming: Barack Obama is Maitreya.He is the most fitting of this description since no man religious or otherwise yields more global power and influence than the us president not even the sec gen of the UN.
7.Benjamin Creme says of Maitreya , .... but he(maitreya) has needed an invitation from humanity to do so (appear), so that he doesn’t infringe our free will to just simply stepping in to limelight. In other words, Creme is saying when we are convinced he can help he shows up and no one will turn him down, we will be totally accepting him. Because we are in such bad shape we'll try anything ( that is deception to its nth degree) This is very unlike Jesus who came without anyone asking who did infringe on people by telling it like it is. truth was his platform not a feel good spirituality of everyone together and we can solve the problems.
Obama was elected at a time of unprecedented global problems.Many voted him because they felt he was the answer to their problems.
Superman was born on another planet called Krypton,and was transported to earth by His father.In the same way mystics believe that the Maitreya lived in The Tusita heavens( which is reachable through meditation)Before He was born into the world.
Also,Superman is known as "The Man of Tomorrow".Maitreya and His co rulers are known as the "sons of tomorrow"because they are at a more advanced stage of illumination than the rest of Humanity who are referred to as the "sons of today" or even "sons of yesterday"."The sons of tomorrow" is a phrase used to show that they live 100s of years ahead of their contemporaries.
Superman's' task is to save the world from Evil.The Maitreya's task is to save the world by unveiling the "true" dharma to the people and in turn allowing the construction of a new world.A world based on sharing,equality and justice under the rule of the ascended masters.

hi Jayson it does seem obama fits the criteria of maitreya accordiging to mr creme,but a few things dont fit,creme has always said maitreya had been living in london and working as some kind of socail worker there,and as far as i know obama has never lived in london,creme has also said obama is not his maitreya.never the less i agree obama does seem to be a very dodgy cat,i would be interested to hear your responce

Its a very nice and important observation that You made.Never expect creme or any new ager to be specific about the exact identity of the Maitreya.They want to keep humanity ignorant of their plans because they know that once humanity becomes aware of their sinister plans they will be doomed.Also,Try not to take Cremes words literally.These mystics send forth "veiled"messages so that only fellow mystics and few "initiated" people can understand the meaning of the message they pass across.(Even when the true Christ came people couldn't recognize him because they tried to decipher his identity with logic.Only Peter knew who Jesus was because God revealed it to Him John 7:27,52 Matt 16:13-16)
For example Creme claims the Maitreya's 1st appearance was in Nairobi Kenya in 1988.This doesn't necessarily mean that the 1st time Obama was "seen" in public was in 1988,But Signals the fact that he has Kenyan roots and he visited his homeland for the 1st time in 1988.(Obama's 1st visit to Kenya was in mid 1988)isn't that too much of a coincidence.
Also,That Creme claims he "lived"in London and was a "social worker there"doesn't mean he actually "lived"there but could mean he has a strong affinity towards London.Obama's 1st international trip is going to be to London where he is attending the G20 Meeting of world leaders and what are the objectives of this meeting?To work out his plans for a "socialist" and classless society that is regulated by government."The new financial world order"

Hi Jason ,while you make some very good points, Obama is as dodgy as a box of frogs at a herpetophobia convention,Im still not convinced he is this maitreya,creme is saying on his web site its not obama,so if he was to suddenly turn round and say,only fooling,see it was abama all along,that would be sense less.But i do realize we are in the realm of smoke and mirrors here ,and that might turn out to be the case,and ''that as you point out, his connection with london could be of a non pysical kind.,thank you for the kind responce

Anyone who wants to delude humanity into accepting a lie would definitely need to shield the truth.This is even reflected in Biblical account of the fall.The serpent told Eve that the forbidden fruit wouldn't make her die but would make her a god.It was when she ate it that she realized his lies and then it was too late.
In the same way You should never expect these satanic people to tell You in exact detail any of their plans.The secret and strength of their plan lies in its concealment.By this way they can fool everyone into accepting their plans as being good and ideal.Notice the Bible says in rev 13 that the false prophet shall "deceive" those that dwell on the earth by miracles(Rev13:14).The devils kingdom is all about deception.
The signs are glaring.No leader on earth has greater power or control than Obama does.(The us president is called the most powerful man in the world)He (Obama)embraces everyone(people of faith and non faith alike)He has a multicultural background,Is loved by many(Maitreya means world friend).and he states in his inauguration speech that He wants a common humanity to show itself(Thats the task the Maitreya is to accomplish).
You do not have to "believe" that he is the maitreya.However don't ignore the signs and the fact that he is an Illuminati puppet.The most important thing is realizing that he is an agent of Evil.

Hi Authur,
I fully agree with you that only a man like President Obama has the power and influence necessary to bring about the changes that will be needed to usher in the new world order. Mr B Creme's London dwelling Maitreya is too obscure and powerless to bring about change on a grand scale. What Mr Creme is likely to do is claim that his stooge has 'overshadowed' Mr Obama in an attempt to convince the gullible that mystical powers have been transferred to him. It is interesting to note that Mr Creme has stated that a strange 'star' will be visible just prior to the public emergence of Maitreya. Many are now claiming to be observing this star and photographs are appearing on his Share International website. It is obvious that these photos are of natural objects, most likely the planet Venus. They are snapped by by inexperienced amateurs who are fooled by the magnification and distortion produced by their camara's lenses. If there was an unusual object in the sky the first to be aware of this would be astronomers. Since the scientific world has not reported anything unusual it can only be assumed that Mr Creme's followers are deluding themselves and each other.

Its obvious that they are referring to Obama.The so called "bright light"should not be taken literally.It is a new teaching, a new illumination A new doctrine of love and oneness which will be channeled to the whole humanity.Thats the sign that maitreya is around when oneness is being emphasized rather than division.
Also I want You to notice that they claim that he doesn't use the name "maitreya".Thats exactly what Obama and those who promote maitreya are doing.They all lie about his identity in order to veil it from those they hope to decieve.Obama himself doesn't claim to be maitreya.But only those who know the signs of maitreya recognize him.I also want You to notice that it says he would be interviewed on a "major" US T.V Programme.Obama is the 1st US President to appear on The late night show with Jay Leno on NBC A very popular tv program.(In March)I dont know how much more proof obama maitreya doubters need to believe.The evidence is right before our eyes
